Nearly Half Of All WAP Applications Don't Work On Any Device
from the wait-a-second... dept
A new study came out looking at a large number of WAP applications to see how well they worked. The study mainly highlights the fact that only 11% of WAP applications work on multiple phones. However, I think the more interesting finding is that nearly half of all the applications tested won’t work on any device. I’m wondering who the hell wrote these applications and what for? Did anyone test them? If they don’t work on any device, what’s the point of them? This doesn’t make any sense to me.

proabably 1/2 done abandoned apps.
once the IPO gravy train derailed, no reason to debug the apps,,,i bet 1/2 the shit during dotcom days never worked either, but no one noticed, when its just a front to sell stocks.
boooooooya!
Devices
In my experience of WAP it is the devices or perhaps the gateways they use that are at fault. You can have absolutely standard compliant WAP and some phones just wont touch it.
