Predicting The Economy Based On T-Shirts

from the ha-ha dept

An amusing article over at Wired talking about how a couple years back if you were a writer you got swamped with t-shirts from company PR people trying to get you to write about them. Then, they switched to gift baskets and pages and pages of marketing fluff using language that no one could understand. So, he was excited to see that he’s gotten another t-shirt suggesting that maybe this means the economy is picking up again. He doesn’t disclose the name of the company, but writes some of the marketing PR gibberish that’s on the t-shirt before realizing that we’re still doomed, and this company just doesn’t realize what year it is. Among the quotes on the t-shirt is that this company provides the: “First Net-native, multi-channel, enterprise, customer service solution.” Yeah, that’ll get your blood pumping.
