What Ever Happened To Those New Business Models?

from the throw-'em-out-with-the-trash dept

Red Herring takes a look at what’s become of all the famous new economy business models. They carefully make fun of each one (of the big ones) and then say that if you want to raise money for a company today, then your business plan shouldn’t have a business model – it should be obvious from the very beginning how you’re going to make money. What’s funny about this is that, of the tech business magazines, Red Herring was probably the worst in over promoting the most ridiculous business models from the earliest days of the dot com craze.
