Who's Got The First 3G Network?

from the fighting-over-nothing dept

If you’ve been following all of the announcements/backpedaling over launching 3G networks, this won’t be anything new, but here’s an amusing article that looks at who is the first country to launch a 3G network. There’s been a lot of talk about the UK and Japan (each of which pushed back their launch). However, now Korea is claiming that they’ve got 3G up and running. The problem is… well, it’s not really 3G. They just say it is. The Japanese version is only a “trial” and it’s only open to 3,000 people – but they’re still advertising it everywhere.
