Here’s yet another example of how SMS text messaging on mobile phones can save lives. A few months back we talked about a woman who SMS messaged her boyfriend in the UK to tell him that she was stuck on a broken boat in Indonesia which led to her rescue. Now, a 59 year-old man was rescued from a Welsh hillside by rescuers who sent him SMS messages to find out where he was. That’s right, SMS saves lives.
