Yahoo! CEO Outed As eBay User
from the oops dept
I guess you can call it research, but it’s generally not a good thing when the CEO of a big company (even if he is the outgoing CEO) shops at his competitor, and seems to do so regularly. Some investigative research by the Washington Post has turned up that Yahoo! CEO Tim Koogle is a big eBay user, and recently bought a car and a wallet from the site – though he was outbid in his attempt at buying a pair of jeans. You can see that he’s been spending quite a lot of time on eBay from his user profile. You’ll also be happy to know that Mr. Koogle is a model eBay citizen according to his feedback. The feedback indicates that Koogle has been a loyal eBay user since back in 1998.

i don’t get it.. why did he outbid himself on the car that he bought? it looks like he just payed $5k more than he had to for no reason.
that’s quite the shopping list he’s got there.
Re: No Subject Given
He probably had not met the reserve at $125K but did so at $130K. Check out the ebay site if that didn’t just make sense.
Re: Re: No Subject Given
They sold the car to someone else while he was bidding. He left negative feedback. (see eBay)
