Prince On The Web

from the experimenting dept

An interesting article looking at everything that Prince (yes, that’s his name again) is doing on the web. He’s running five different sites, and has a “music club” where people who pay get to get his new music. He’s got a bunch of other ideas, though they’re not all clearly laid out in the article. In fact, the article points out that he’s not really a big fan of technology. Also, many record execs are still laughing at him, pointing out that he’s an example of someone who went off on his own and can’t sell records. Though, apparently, he did okay when he released his CrystalBall set, making more money than if he’d done it on a major label.
