Instant Messaging Turns Shoppers Into Buyers

from the oh,-but-the-nuisance dept

A new study says that using instant messaging on e-commerce sites can help turn shoppers into buyers and that not enough e-commerce sites were looking into using it. I can certainly see where and how it would be useful (though, it’s probably costly for the company to empoy these online sales assistants). I just want a guarantee that the next time I go to an online site I don’t have some random sales person annoying me with “are you finding everything ok?” every time I click on anything. That’s the nice thing about shopping online. Sales people don’t bug you.
