Kozmo Ends Starbucks Deal

from the changing-times,-changing-deals dept

When Kozmo and Starbucks announced their relationship it seemed like a pretty good idea. Of course, that was back when Kozmo was a rising star, and Starbucks was looking for a way to capitalize on this whole “dot com” thing. Now, it’s not looking so hot and Kozmo has pulled out of the deal. They’re removing video drop boxes from all the Starbucks. Of course the deal did put them in a position to integrate with a real brick-and-mortar store, so it seems a little odd that they’d give up on that – until you realize they were supposed to pay $150 million for the honor.
