Don't Need To Be A Genius To Hack A Bad System
from the good-points dept
Following on yesterday’s popular story of the NYC busboy stealing identities of lots of famous people is a followup that suggests that maybe the guy isn’t such a genius. First of all, he got caught. Second, he used the same Hotmail address to make requests. The fact is it’s the system that’s bad. It’s too easy to get supposedly confidential information out of companies. Instead of talking about what a mastermind criminal this guy is, people should be trying to figure out better ways to prevent identity theft. Good point.
