McNealy Refuses To Share Stage With Andreessen

from the too-big-for-some-little-startup,-eh? dept

In a recent taping of PBS’s CEO Exchange, Scott McNealy and Larry Ellison were to appear together. However, at the last minute, Ellison backed out due to illness. The producers rounded up Marc Andreessen, and then McNealy suddenly announced he wouldn’t share the stage with Andreessen. Now the rumors are flying as to why. McNealy claims he just didn’t have time to “prepare” (what did he need to prepare?). But, others are saying that McNealy has too much pride to share the stage with some lowly startup – because that would suggest that Sun was on equal footing with Loudcloud.
