How long will it be before we buy gasoline or BART tickets this way?” I think we need more privacy groups to start screaming about it before gasoline companies and BART realize it might be worthwhile…

Canadian customs has a machine to recognize fingerprints/hand prints already. Basically you apply for access ( Upon approval, they give you a special customs card. You put it in a machine at the airport, which then prompts you to put in your hand to match your finger prints/hand geometry. A friend of mine has the card and loves it.
