Television Takes A Tumble

A good look at the world of television these days. While many TV execs had been afraid of the internet, the internet may have saved TV for a while with their crazy ad spending. Now that the dot com world has collapsed, TV is facing different threats. Salaries are rising, but there are more choices on TV (and satellite systems like DirecTV aren’t helping), so fewer people watch hit shows. Also, they’ll probably be facing less advertising revenue and a potential actors strike. At least it’s not the internet that will kill them, though. This sounds like the type of thing they would say right before the internet does pop up and kill them…
