Online Stores Take Away From Offline Sales

from the yeah,-so? dept

This one is a bit obvious, but as everyone is trashing online selling, it’s good to point out that online stores really do take away some sales from brick-and-mortar stores. If you think about it, though, that’s really obvious. You have to assume that the majority of online sales would have been made offline anyway. The number of incremental sales has to be marginal. However, this is important for brick-and-mortar companies to understand so they don’t start ignoring their online sales because of this whole dot com collapse.
