Microsoft Might Not Have Copy Protection In Germany?

There’s a rumor going around that Microsoft won’t put a copy protection scheme on its German software. Microsoft is denying this rumor. It’s a little odd because the reasoning is that consumers are more “critical” of Microsoft in Germany. This is a reason to make it easier to copy their software? I’m not sure that makes any sense.
