Student Saves Company From Bankruptcy
from the on-the-edge dept
Here’s an odd one. A student on a two-week work study program saved a company from bankruptcy by building them a web-based order system that took in approximately $1 million in orders. Not bad for two weeks. The company offered the student a chance to stay on as head of marketing, but he turned it down. He wants to go to school to be an architect.

E-mail is an ordering system?
I was interested in seeing what the student used to build the ordering system. Upon closer inspection of the Mulligan site, the product pages have “Order Here” links which link to an e-mail form. If all the student did was add the link and e-mail form, then that’s not that impressive.

It is impressive if it brought in $1 million in orders… 🙂
