Do people yawn for a reason? There are all sorts of crazy theories. Here’s one more: yawning is a leftover social behavior from our more primitive days.
According to this story, yawning suggests who is the leader of a social herd and is usually followed by “submissive” yawns. So try yawning at your next
meeting to see if anyone subconsciously bends to your will….

It's the Tiredness...
I think it is more a primitive way of communicating tiredness to the rest of the tribe (maybe even before we developed language). I don’t think it’s submission, I’ve yawned with people that I am definately not submissive to.
