What's Next For Dot Com Survivors
from the figuring-out-where-to-go-now dept
The LA Times takes a look at some of the workers who have been “shaken out” by the dot com downturn. The article makes it all sound a bit more traumatic than it actually seems to be. Yes, it does suck to put a lot of effort into a dot com that eventually fails, but you have to realize that’s a possibility when you join. You get over it. What gets on my nerves are the people who whine that they only did it to get really rich, and now they feel cheated. From the beginning it was a “start up lottery” and a lot of people didn’t get the winning ticket. Complaining about it isn’t going to generate much sympathy.
