Petsmart Gets More Money

from the that-damn-brick-and-mortar-connection dept

While all the other online pet stores are going out of business, Petsmart.com is apparently lucky to have a brick-and-mortar parent who’s willing to dump another $30 million into their online counterpart to keep them afloat. Is this throwing good money after bad? I think it might be a smart move if they closely integrate the two operations. Also, now that all the other online pet stores are gone, they might be able to gain some traction online – and they won’t have to outspend other annoying dot coms.
