A very good article that points out the view from inside the technology world is very different than the view from outside. While the popular press (and, sure, okay, we’re guilty of it a bit too) is trumpeting all the failing dot coms, most of us in the industry see technology companies that are still thriving. The article compares the situation to the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake when all the media coverage made it appear as if the Bay Area was completely wiped out.
