Remember when there were twenty dot com “launch parties” every night? Well, now apparently the popular thing is to have “mixers” to help the laid off dot commers find jobs. Apparently, the atmosphere is a bit less festive. Maybe it’s time for Techdirt to have another one of our parties, where we’ll have free admission to anyone who brings a souvenir from a failed dot com? Anyone interested?
