More on AT&T Publius

from the no-censorship,-but-no-mp3s-either dept

A little over a month ago we mentioned that AT&T researchers were working on a FreeNet like system called Publius. News.com now has more info as they’ve released the system. They say it’s been created to prevent censorship, but it will only allow files that are smaller than 100k to be put into Publius (which prevents it being useful for things like MP3s). It sounds like an interesting system, but I wonder how much use it will actually get – and for what purposes.
