What's Hot in Wireless
from the so-they-say dept
A discussion on what’s hot and what’s not in the wireless arena. On the hot side is home networking, java, and bluetooth. On the not is WAP and the wireless internet. Basically, it sounds like people, right now, want more practical solutions, and not the “everything is going to be done wirelessly” hype that people were screaming about the “wireless internet”.

The writer of this article seems to be focusing just on the US, when he’s condeming WAP he’s not taking into account what’s happening in Japan and in Europe. All I have to say to about this author is that he is being far too inward focused (WAP is in relatively high use and mobile phone suppliers in the UK have offered cut price WAP mobile phones to push adoption) and that he should read Techdirt more often!
