Website Pays for Job Referrals

from the interesting-ideas dept

It’s not often that I hear about a new dot com and immediately say “yeah, that’s a pretty good idea”. A site called Refer.com is taking the idea of online job boards, and combining it with employee referrals to create a site where you can make money if you refer someone to an open job. It seems like a smart idea. Whether or not it can make any money is another story. The problem is how to get people to visit the site. If they’re not looking for a job, what incentive do they have to just wander in to refer.com? Chances are this will get bought out by one of the other, struggling, job board sites.
