Problems with Laying off Engineers
from the backlash... dept
Due to the stock market “correction” PetPlace.com decides to lay off its Seattle staff, which is mostly made up of techies. One of the techies has been hosting web pages for the company on his own machine. He asks the company for some money they owe him (which they refuse) and he turns the site (remember, it’s his computer) into a press release saying “Petplace Celebrates Anniversary with Layoffs” and links it to an eBay auction for his company jacket. I still can’t believe they were letting him host the site on his own computer.
