Broadcasters to Deliver Internet Content Over Airwaves

from the hmmmm... dept

I had to read this a few times to figure out what it meant. A bunch of broadcasters have gotten together and launched iBlast, which they say will allow folks otherwise without high speed internet access to get content. Of course, it’s not at all interactive. It sounds fairly confusing, and I’m not sure why people would use this. All of this is happening over the spectrum allocated for HDTV which the broadcasters have been trying to use for other purposes for years.
