DoubleClick Wants to Know Who You Are

I understand that people are upset about this, but DoubleClick hasn’t exactly been hiding the fact that this was in the plans all along. It seems they are officially saying that they plan to attempt to identify specific people when surfing on the web so they can target more specific ads at individuals. Targeted ads are not a bad idea, but the possiblity for privacy abuses are pretty high. DoubleClick, however, doesn’t seem to care.
