AT&T and their possible wireless IPO

from the we-all-love-wireless-telecoms dept

Today, AT&T announced that they are considering floating a portion of their wireless telecoms division. This could could be the largest IPO ever in the US. Not only that but it would provide further cash flow for expansion of their wireless business (cash for expansion is always needed in a growth industry, as they usually lack substantial profit margins, if any exists). At least some of this cash flow will probably be used to address capacity issues that have plagued some areas of the AT&T network.
