Warner Brothers and RealNetworks in a War

from the that-can't-be-good-for-business dept

This is a bit strange. Warner Brothers claims they’re in a war with RealNetworks after they tried to use RealNetworks to broadcast the Drew Carey show this week. It’s not totally clear what the issue was, but Warner Bros. seems to feel that RealNetworks was being unreasonable in wanting to promote its brand as part of the deal and went with Microsoft instead. There’s an interesting discussion of Real’s strategy in the article.
