Vodaphone's still hungry in Europe

It looks like Vodaphone, a mobile phone operator (recently bought Airtouch for about $74 billion) may make a bid for Mannesman (currently in the process of buying Orange communications). The current buyout price is expected to be about $100 billion! Is it just me or is this buyout mania getting really pricey?
