from the a-different-type-of-silicon-implant dept

A scientist in England is planning on allowing a computer chip implated in his arm to take control of his arm movements. I don’t think he’s bluffiing either, having already inserted another silicon chip into himself last year to assess whether a computer could track his movements throughout the university was pretty serious stuff. If he succeeds it could mean a whole new revolution in prosthetic limbs and a further melding of man and machine.
