Phoning and Driving
from the watch-out dept
Talking on a cell phone and driving are now illegal in a suburb of Cleveland. I know there’s been a lot of talk about this idea around the country, so I wonder what’s going to happen in this town. Personally, from the number of idiots I see on the road using their phone, I think it’s probably a good thing.

Wow

Oops.. Don’t answer that..

Ever since Prash turned me on to the Nokia headset, I’ve been a much safer cellphone driver. I think the nature of gluing your hand to your head through a phone just impedes one’s propensity to actually look around when you are doing important driving things like merging… Not an issue with the headset (though nerdiness is).
It has been banned here for a while
I live in Louisiana and it has been banned here for a little over a year. The law is not strictly enforced though. I still drive past cops all the time while I’m on my phone and they never even notice. That headset sounds nice.. it would help me quite a bit when I am in traffic driving stick shift truck.
