Startup Incubator Raises Lots of Cash
from the startup-factory dept
The startup incubator, eCompanies, founded by Sky Dayton (of Earthlink) and Jake Winebaum (of Disney) has raisied $130 million to fund other startups. In some weird way, this actually makes sense. Incubators seem to be the popular thing to start these days, and combining them with a venture fund seems to make the incubator a lot more viable. What worries me is that the founders of these incubators often seem a bit too “cocky” about their ability to find and coach the next big thing.
