Selling Instant Messaging Software

from the stupid-idea-series dept

What do you do if you can’t even give your software away? How about trying to sell it. Seems a bit absured, but a company with an instant messaging service, competing with all the heavyweights (AOL, Yahoo, and Microsoft) who all give away their product for free has decided to start charging for their’s. The reasoning? They won’t put ads in the software. Somehow, I doubt that’s worth $30 to most people.
