Amazon.com vs. Amazon.gr
from the gee,-that-seems-a-bit-similar dept
Amazon.com is suing Amazon.gr for a ton of stuff. Basically, it seems obvious that Amazon.gr is using Amazon.com’s brand to sell books, and Amazon.com doesn’t like it. I find Amazon.gr’s response somewhat amusing though. It’s the “play innocent” tactic which is pretty damn see through.

Good luck
This type of thing has come up before, but probably not quite as blatantly. There are a ton of sites out there that take the exact HTML code from another site and incorporate it on their site. Usually the copy-cat site is not in direct competition with the competitor, but the law is really, really fuzzy when it comes to these issues. I’d wager this will never go to court and will be settled.
