Bad Time to IPO

from the who-plans-these-things dept

I don’t get it? Why do internet companies even try to IPO in August? Tumbleweed today had a fairly uneventful IPO. Doesn’t everyone know that investors take August off for vacations? September is usually revise month, and IPOs don’t start going again until October. This year it might be bad to IPO for the rest of the year completely, as by October everyone’s going to be worrying about the end of civilization as we know it due to Y2K.
