Anatomy of a Bad IPO

from the still-a-slow-news-day dept

Story about all of the problems with NetObject’s IPO. It makes a very good point that I think is true with a lot of Internet IPOs, these days, and which should stand as a warning sign: it’s going public not because it can, but because it must. That’s bad. Plain and simple. I realize that IPOs are great ways to raise money to do stuff, but it should be an option… not a forced situation.
