High-Tech Press Questioned

from the what-a-non-story dept

This could have been an interesting article. The SF Chronicle wrote today about press coverage of high tech stories and how it’s more and more important to newspapers these days. They also talk about the race to “scoop” other news sources and the lack of technical knowledge of the reporters. I read through the article and felt there was no meat there. If anything, this article falls prey to exactly what they’re talking about. There are a few quotes from big name tech personalities (including some very unsubstantiated numbers) and then one “sort of” example, which I don’t even think is a good example.
