It seems a bit hypocritical dish/cable provider complaining that they want what looks like to me ala carte pricing for airing shows when customers have been repeatedly denied.
"So the whole, 'We have a list and we're not telling you,' itself should tell you something," Torvalds said of Microsoft's stance in the Fortune story. And for good measure, he added: "Don't you think that if Microsoft actually had some really foolproof patent, they'd just tell us and go, 'nyaah, nyaah, nyaah!'"
exactly, thanks. What really gets me upset is when microsoft starts saying how it supports open source and points to suse and all the donations theyve made then they turn around and sue on BS patents.

So the dish's don't want to pay a bundle price when they only really want the good stuff.
Sorry I haven't subscribed to cable/dish for over 10 years, do they now ala carte the channels?

do not agree with this one, these are corporations stealing not an independent artist doing a creative remix

Has Linus Torvalds ever commented on this. I'd love to hear his thoughts.

A little off topic but what are the patents that Microsoft is using to bully android?

I think they can be considered monopolies not in the traditional sense but more like a seemingly impossible mountain to climb.
Not to mention that google and facebook have all the best talent in the world atm.
So yeah, you are free to compete buy why bother.

Just curious, but how are they tracking down who downloaded the movie. I remember the riaa was following people on kazaa and limewire.
afaik, those two p2p methods are dead?
