um... I rip for my own use...
I have never (not once) put a ripped dvd on any website, and yet, even that is illegal as far as the movie industry is concerned.
If you don'tsee that as f**ked up, then I'm not sure we are talking about the same thing.
You mean like the backlash against software developers and electronics manufacturers who do tell people what they can and can't do with the stuff they bought?
That is an almost criminal interpretation of the first amendment. Free speech only protects you from the *THE GOVERNMENT.* If your "speech" adversely affects your customers and they then flee from your company for that exact reason, it is simple market dynamics. A corporation's first concern is, and should be, its profits. Anything else either helps or hinders that.
Supporting an American internet censorship bill is obviously bad for business for a registrar/web hosting company and while it and the people who run it can have all the opinions in the world, that doesn't mean squat when your customers are flying away.

because we can all name at least one person in our life that has said something to this effect within earshot. I don't think it represents all Faux News watchers, nor all Christians, but it is something we have all heard/seen.
dwarf fortress, while great, is still a pretty hard game to get into. I salute Notch for being a cool dude, regardless of where his ideas come from.
If you read enough posts here at techdirt, you should know we firmly believe that the remix is sacred, and is not unfair in anyway.
As a born again Atheist (see: Christian turned atheist) I find that the more Atheist I become, the more Christ-like I become.
As an Atheist, I feel no ill will toward those above who have been lied to their entire life, and I hope they find some peace in this lifetime.
If it I am threatened by a fundamentalist Christian in this, the only thing I can do is turn the other cheek. Hate only begets hate.
Wait, so you mean the people who are going to be hit hardest by a recession should not also have to pay as much as possible to prop up a failing business model?
the community college I go to (yes, community college) *requires* use of a student email system (based on outlook online, I think. Doesn't work with Chrome on Linux, is all I know). Frankly, I have gmail hooked into it to pull messages and to send as that email address because the school requires all school related communication must be from your college supplied email address.
I do not, under an circumstances have that email account send anything even barely personal. It is for school and only for school.

Check the blog. It was most likely sex workers rights (as mentioned above), and she doesn't seem to hide that fact on her blog.

Shouldn't Wikipedia want accurate information, regardless of who put it there? I mean, as long as the advocate cites their sources, does it matter?

I am good friends with three Christians who were dismayed when they read it. (whether they watch Faux News, never came up, though)

Isn't that really the American Dream(TM)?
