By "rooting" your phone you are either unlocking the bootloader, or bypassing the bootloader(think Motorola and most Verizon Wireless 'Droid phones). Either way, from research and playing that i have done with my Android devices, you can do all kinds of things the carriers/manufacturers don't want or intend for you to.
Also, a number of ROMs for android provide support for different base bands, most of the time they are carrier specific, but with knowledge and patience, you could conceivably allow a Sprint branded device access to Verizon Wireless' network.

Bandwidth does not equal data amount used

Bandwidth is the size of the pipe. Data is what flows thru the pipe.
Ergo, Data Cap(amount you can use) is pointless when trying to control Bandwidth issues(size of pipe). Throttling, while just as heinous, would do more to satisfy the bandwidth issues that capping the amount of data a person can use.

This is nothing more than a straight money grab by all Wireless and Wireline telcos. Even with using basic services like Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Pinterest, etc... you can blow thru a Data Cap. This does not include the 2-6 email accounts a number of people have and access.

    Re: Re: Health Care

As a resident of Texas, there are a large number of us that realized a long, long time ago, that Rick Perry and his ilk are ignorant morons. Unfortunately, my state is full of them all willing to vote for him and his kind.
I view my self as a centrist in my political views. Each Ideology has positive ideas and each has really bad ones.
One of these days, I hope that Darwin addresses this dearth of idiots here and allows those of us who actually think, investigate and use common sence(now known as a Super Power) to actually affect change. Until then, I will keep SMDH and occasionally ROFL at the idiots.
Final thought...there are some really good people here, try not to think too unkindly of those who actually use the brain within our skulls.

    Re: Brazen

    @ horse with no name, May 6th, 2013 @ 8:22pm

You sir/madam/it(?) have absolutely no clue. You are potentially as bad or worse than that insanity who calls himself out_of_the_blue or AJ. Brazen are the actions of Prenda and associates/patsies. The 80K that Judge Wright ordered is miniscule to the costs afflicted upon numerous others. What is going to be exceptionally entertaining are the fines, judgements, etc...that the associate Fed entities hand down. This will be an anal reaming on par with using an oil drill to clean out a tooth cavity. This is karma/divine retribution at its finest.

    Re: Yuppers

I will second TheLastCzarnian. This kind of misinformation is spread about by both sides of the political fence. Left, right, center, it does not matter. If it does not fit their agenda(read, corporate agenda) it will be spun to suit. Go on a different tangent and ask any career politician who is corporate sponsors are. Who "lobbies" the hardest or who backs their campaigns. Everyone of them will lie to you in the blink of an eye. It is time to stop this bipartisan bullshit and actually think about our country in an objective and clear manner. I see poll after poll show that even in states that lean one direction or the other, most people sit just to either side of the centrist viewpoint. However, you have extremes on both sides(although for me, the Conservatives tend to scream the loudest) that spout their Ideology and make mainstream news. Until and unless we as a people actually say enough is e-fucking-nough, we will continue to be trampled over and ignored in favor of money and power.
There is a saying. "Knowledge is power." My response to this, is if knowledge is power, why are some of the most powerful people so ignorant.

We could call it out_of_the_averagejoe_Bob Syndrome. Causes repeated uncontrollable facepalms and head to desk.

    Re: Re: Re:

OK, fucktard, since you obviously fail at any level of basic logic and mathematical comprehension, I will try to 'splain it to you one more time.
The algorithm that Google is using is a tool. In and of itself it is a piece of code used to take input from users in a given region(google.com, google.cn, etc...) who are searching for subjects and then present this information back to other users who start a search that matches previous searches.
It is not Google's responsibility to nanny the users of the world and their search topics. They are simply aggregating them and presenting this information back to other users who search for similar topics.
If you put flour, milk, sugar, yeast, etc...into a blender you get dough. You cannot change this output unless you change the input(i.e. the ingredients). Output is dependent on the input. It is really simple. Hell, I have met 3yr old children who understand this concept better than you do.

Ahhh...but there is the crux of this crappy suit. She was already lying here most likely and posting her DOB to match listing on IMDB. Now...once the SSN is given and linked to Tax documents and background checks, she would still be linked to her correct age, but if she is working for shady ass, two bit B rated productions, they may be paying under the table as well.
I think it would be absolutely hilarious if her financials were investigated for tax evasion/fraud.

    Re: Re: HOLD IT!

Hell, they recently opened a couple of new ones in my general area. And they have been running some pretty good sales/specials on items i want to purchase.

Currently live in an HOA managed community

Many of the more recent neighborhoods in the large metropolitan areas of Texas(Dallas, Fort WOrth, Houston, Austion, etc..) have HOAs. And a goodly portion of them are relatively expensive in dues. Unfortunately, they also tend to be minor dictatorships as well. There was a case in Frisco where a homeowner purchased a new Ford F150(with extras like nicer wheels, upgraded exterior, etc..). His HOA fined him as their Rules prohibited vehicles below a certain class from being parked in front of the homes. In other words, because it was a pickup truck(most popular vehicle in most of Texas), it was prohibited. There were a few local articles and news pieces about it. Many highlighted that had he spent 15K more for a Lincoln Mark LT(essentially a fancy Ford F150) or a Cadillac Escalade EXT(Chevy Avalanche dressed up) he would have been within the "rules". I don't remember the outcome to this one, but it shows the petty BS that goes on with HOAs.
As a side note, my community has an HOA. Dues are less than $25/month and cover shared areas and two pools. For the most part it is pretty relaxed with only mild petty crap, so I consider myself lucky. There are even a few with much higher costs that include yard maintenance, water parks and other amenities with the dues. Not all are bad, but it definitely seems most are, and unfortunately, the State and Local laws protect them more than they protect the homeowners.

    Re: He's from Texas...

As a Texan, I am repeatedly disappointed by a large number of the political idiots that push themselves out into the public view. To explain this one's ignorance, he was elected to serve Eastern Texas, as in Tyler, TX...home to one of the most ignorant of the federal court systems in the country.
Just listening to him speak made me want to ram rusty 10 penny nails thru my ears.

    Re: 2 Questions

Freaking wonderful! Just when I thought to lunatics in my states legislature could not get any worse. Between Rick Perry and this jack wagon, I am running out of reasons to love the state I live in. I sincerely hope that this crap gets shot down.

    Re:

Again with the ignorant and inane attacks on one side of our fecked up political/social system.

The cause for this clearly falls back onto both sides of the spectrum. The current overreach in all facets of life were started and are being upheld by both ends.

Corruption and Stupidity have no boundaries(or limits unfortunately). Please keep trollish crap like this to yourself. I does nothing to further the intelligent discussion. And yes the parody statements above are still intelligent as they clearly took rational thought to create.

Re: Many people are unable to be concise.

Tech Gods forgive me for feeding the troll...

This is exactly why no one on here(or likely any forum you stain with your presence) takes anything you say with any level of seriousness. You are willfully blind to anything resembling logic, common sense, etc... You are the epitome of what is wrong with the US and the world in general. It does not matter who you support or don't support. Your uninformed and most time, unformed opinions are rarely ever backed by significant facts or statistics.
Please for the love of all that is sane, intelligent and generally decent in this world, get over your crush on Mike, the Tims, and Leigh. The rest of us would like to continue reading/discussing(intelligently) the topics that are presented here.

    Re:

Enough with this inane crap trying to polarize this to one particular party/politician.
IIRC, GWBush instituted this particular version of privacy invasion. Obama has upheld/renewed it, but he did not start it. Many of the current BS in regards to invasion of privacy and erosion of rights began very soon after 9/11, this means the "laws" were created/implemented by GW and what ever jackasses were in Congress at that time.
Please understand, Obama is not blameless, he could have pushed to reduce or overturn these ridiculous "laws".
However, he did not and neither have enough of the Republican or Democratic politicians. The entire government is corrupted by the power and prestige of their offices. Even those who on occasion, vote for worthwhile issues and cause(however they impact you or yours).

So nice to see it took the better part of a day for you to respond. Did you finally tire of the twitterverse? Or have you run out of aliases and the bots are getting overloaded trying to respond?

There is a line in the bio, "Literary nothing is known of his personal life...". This is hilarious.
