Isn't it just as bad then for the Faulkner estate to quote the non-Faulkner parts of the movie in the lawsuit? Are they allowed to even talk about the movie dialog that is not the supposed infringing quote lest they run afoul of their own standards?
Hey Newmark, why don't you publish an API and perhaps charge a bit based on usage or something like that instead of remaining so closed and using legal threats. Open it up a bit so people can do some more useful things to make it better.
You will be required by law to watch a certain amount of network programming along with the commercials of course.
If you choose not to purchase a cable or satellite tv package, you will be penalized by the IRS.
How much programming you watch will be determined by an always active iris scanner that works closely with the Microsoft Kinect system which you will also be required to purchase.
If Columbia is anything like Mexico in terms of it's corruption, and selective enforcement of laws, this law will have no teeth. It won't be enforced except in a few cases of political expediency. The cops on the street aren't going to stop people from openly selling pirated DVD's and USB's sticks full of music like they do now.
It sucks that this happened, but you can pretty much expect nothing to change.
Go Get Him
This is an open invitation to one of the private organizations that is trying to stop the sexual exploitation of children to nail his ass to the wall.
These people should be ashamed of themselves and they are culpable if he hurts a child at any point in the future.
Watch out...
Pretty soon you'll be under investigation for production and distribution of kitty porn.
Tweeters?
Are they going to also sue individual Twitter account holders when people stop Tweeting since they rely on a high volume of tweets?
Wait...
Isn't it just as bad then for the Faulkner estate to quote the non-Faulkner parts of the movie in the lawsuit? Are they allowed to even talk about the movie dialog that is not the supposed infringing quote lest they run afoul of their own standards?
API Maybe?

Either that or make it better yourself.

"The White House Wants To Hear From You Concerning Its Strategy For Intellectual Property Enforcement"
No they don't. They have to ACT like they want to hear from you so they can say they did before promptly ignoring anything not from industry insiders.

Dear God, I hope he keeps digging, this is so entertaining.
Please?
Honestly, I'd rather see the entire patent system negated than to see these petty squabbles keep popping up.
Ubiquity
What we need is a condition of ubiquity where the police are filmed by so many people, so often that they have no choice but to accept it as the norm.
Somehwere...
Somewhere an MPAA and an RIAA exec are huddled together and sobbing and planning revenge for not getting a cut.
Grace?
Can we call this the Streisand Halo Effect?
Next up...

The first rule...
The first rule about The Pirate Bay is, "Don't talk about The Pirate Bay."
Useful?
Let's lobby Congress to declare anything under the control of MPAA or RIAA as not being useful. Problem solved. You're welcome.
But..
It would have been a 1000% increase if it hadn't been for those meddling kids!
Unenforcable

Now you've done it!
