I feel that it should be illegal, and it is not "proper" to sell digital copies like that. I think of these like games, you get a digital version and CD version but the two are sharing the same license (cd key with games). Its like splitting the cost of a video game, and sharing the CD-key with someone else, except you both don't go online so no one would ever know.
