It seems like Microsoft is pushing hard for their devoted fan base (i.e. "bro gamers"), and monopolizing the hell out of them at the cost of all their other consumers. I wouldn't put it past them to increase the price of new games...
Because the big media companies who made said violent movies also control most major media outlets. Ergo the higher ups in big media say it's violent video games, not movies.
your second point: why would someone imply that someone else is liable to be sued if not to threaten to sue? even if said threat is empty?
Also, I don't think the article implies charges are imminent. It's implied that if the companies decide to sue it will be laughed out of court, so it's unlikely that they actually will.
It kinda reminds me of the story a while back about the guy who found a simple security loophole on his banks website and he got charged with CFAA. I can't remember the details exactly though. It pretty much boiled down to "The act of trying to circumvent the website's security counts as hacking, no matter how simple and obviously open the system was."
According to this professor's logic if I had a laptop running at 100C that's like double 57C so that's double the harmful radio waves! And since the graphics card was situated right above my unmentionables we can further multiply the effects of the harmful radio waves by tenfold!
No point on an old laptop. It was when it overheated in the middle of a game I decided to give my balls a break and buy a desktop. It's graphics card runs at a cool 60C!
It's an interesting court case to be sure... but the pettiness of the fight between the two women makes it almost unbearable to read! It's like watching children fight except with more adult language.

Yes, because blows to the torso and midriff are completely non lethal all the time of course, especially with double handed strikes.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Over 100C!!!
I think you missed the point...
Re: Re: Pure Half-Assed CYA ...
But but the command line is complicated and scary looking! If that's not what hackers use, what is?!
Re: Don't go out of your way to write a scraper program!

Re: Re: Re: Computer Fraud and Abuse
Yeah, one would assume it's the telco's threatening to sue, since it was their data they left open...

Also, to extrapolate a bit...

But that means... OH NO! I'M HITLER!

Firefall is doing fairly well with it's f2p model and it's still in "closed" beta.
