  • New iPhone Connector Port Revealed, Thus Wiping Out Several Generations Of Accessories In One Fell Swoop

    Really?

I have always found it so interesting that the Apple Haters pick non-issues to hate on. Every other phone/device manufacture puts a different connect on just about every device and that is cool, but Apple talks about changing their gaint connect (30pin) that only uses 4pin, and well now they are the devil. only interested in stealing your money. Please!

    Dag,
What you "illegal is illegal" types always forget is that the law can and does change. In the last twenty years it has unfortunitly changed to harm the consumer and help the corperation.

  • Viacom Coulton-Gate Deftly Demonstrates Why It's Crazy To Think YouTube Can Know What's Infringing And What's Not

    Dalane ( profile ), 14 Jun, 2010 @ 07:28am

    Re:

"it is a pretty big assumption to think that all of viacom can communicate like the borg. what one part of the company is doing (with the legal advice it has gotten) may not be the same as other parts of the very huge company. attempting to paint viacom and its thousands of employees being on the same scale as youtube and its (at the time) handful of employees is a laughable concept. i would say it smacks of desperation, knowing that you tube is very likely to get a legal reaming here very soon."
So what your saying is that it is to assume a huge company with large amounts of resources could not police its own content, but a small company with few resources should be able to. It seems that Viacom should be able to accomplish what it is sueing other to do in similar circumstances.

Re: Re: Re: Was this story about Google Voice? Why Yes, it is!

LOL, I swear the same troll picks different things to lie about every article. There was no IP to try and hammer Mike about so he jumps on timeliness. No really Google has just released today a new and improved web app for Google Voice, they did however announce today's release yesterday. AC you are a genius, you even have me trying to correct you. LOL

Do you even read your own posts? You contradicted yourself. Either the system is broken or not. You say the system is broken then try to justify why it works. Lame!

  • OnStar Used To Stop Carjacked Car

    Dalane ( profile ), 22 Oct, 2009 @ 05:00am

    I can't believe

I can't believe no one has brought up the potential dangers of someone hacking the system and disabling your car. On-star chose the accelerator in this situation, but do not dilute yourself into believe that is the only choice.

  • And Of Course: Grandstanding Anti-Craigslist Politicians Still Not Satisfied

    Dalane ( profile ), 27 Jul, 2009 @ 08:25am

    Re:

"Cl at the end still has some responsibility for their own site." No one is saying Craig's List does not have a responsibility for their own site. What Mike and others are saying is that the "Law" which was passed by these grandstanding idiots says no one is responsible for other people activity but those other people.

  • Verizon: US Broadband Is Really Competitive, If You Just Redefine The Market The Way We Want…

    Dalane ( profile ), 05 Jun, 2009 @ 03:34am

    Re:

    Ac,
You have made Mike's point for him. He did not say it was impossible to get connected. He said that in many places there are only two choices, which is not significant competition, and wireless does not count because in most carrier TOS you are not allowed to tether other devices to it.
Quite a few other countries have better internet options in far more places than the US, and that is the point, Verizon put out this propaganda crap claiming the US is number one, but in fact we are not even close.

"So god damn rare, it should be a superpower!"
    That is funny right there!
Seriously why is it so hard for people to except change. I for one agree with most of the copyright/patent/trademark discussions here, but here is a great lesson for us all. "When you fail to embrace change you become fearful of it." let none of us lose see of the changing world around us. This principal gets this.

    Evidence

Could someone show me where the evidence is hidden that says artists of any kind deserve to make millions of dollars, because they are artists, while I get to make barely enough to feed my family working 60 hours a week.

  • Transparency On The Bailout? Banks: No Thanks!

    Dalane ( profile ), 23 Dec, 2008 @ 04:16am

And people told me it was a conspiracy theory

Every time I hear a politician bringing up the children, my first thought is what is going on that they are trying to divert our attention from. When the "financial crisis" started and congress said no, and McCain and Obama met with Bush and came out speaking the same crap as him, I thought what is happening that they want to divert our attention from. Wake up America the thieves have come! Remember the cry "we have to act now to save our economy" what has change besides the pockets of a few. The bailout has changed nothing for the better. The rich stole billions with intentional fraud and have got the government to give them billions more.

Re: Re: Re: Why pay for IP, it should be free to everyone

"Sounds like that is a slanted opinion against IP."
The point is that IP is not real property. It is property that you think you own. It is only real in your head.
