I deleted my RSS feed to LA Times and don't really miss it. I am in a better mood not knowing all the scary things (car thefts) that happen in my neighborhood!
They could use blockbusters to subsidize flops.... but that would only work for developers with a large catalog. Smaller developers would have less pricing flexibility.
Second time this week I am agreeing with TAM. It seems like TAM got a reputation and now when people see his posts they go WHARRGARBL, even if TAM is making valid points.
Is this really the best example of the professional press making a mistake? I feel like TAM saying this; while a bit comical, this is not the smoking gun that proves that the CBC fails at fact checking.
the ipad may be locked down, but it will work. apparently people like that. nothing to think about. you don't need to understand the internals. just use it.
look at the ipod touch. did anyone predict how well that thing would do when released? it sold like crazy over the holidays.
i am not a fanboy either. my only apple product is a B&W ipod.
My eight year old doesn't txt but will play MMORPGs as much as he is allowed. A major component of the ones he plays is communicating with other players. I know he uses txt talk there however he seems to get the difference as his English grades are excellent.
certain members of my family like to order from pizza hat or donimos because of the price (i prefer the NY style from the dirty family place). i will bring up pap johns next time.
"an excellent point. even when the exec of a major studio has a demographic in their own home telling them their likes/dislikes, things they want etc they dont listen."

Re: Re: Re: 400% increase sales = 100% old price sales levels.
"Sales price has nothing to do with value."
the actual sale price is very tied into the value.
from merriam-webster online
value = the monetary worth of something : market price
Re: let me ge this straight
exactly. aren't there non-disclosure agreements or something similar for documentaries?
Re:
"Is that what the CEO means when he says price is marketing?"
That is exactly the way I understood it.

Re: AllofMp3 example
it would be cool to see their sales numbers.
Re: Streaming and Warner...
your troll gets 5/10
Re: You don't think . . .
I think so. If the games are left at the lower price point, the perception of value would most likely decrease.
Also, what about titles that don't sell as well? These low sellers may require a higher price point to support their creation than a blockbuster.
Re: Re: Good Example?
Were you trying to ironic? This topic focuses on George Lucas only. Kevin Smith is totally different subject.

Straight to DVD typically means the movie sucked.

Re: They might .. (as miked)
I agree, that was a nice read.
Basic Marketing (as miked)
These are some basic marketing ideas. You could replace music with another good/service and the general idea still works. Just an observation.
