Google has no legal obligation to anyone. It's a corporate entity. They can choose to omit whomever they like, wherever they like, from their indices.

Wouldn't this be another case of shutting the gate when the horse has already bolted again? I use dropbox (and love it) and with drop tunes, from BoxyTunes on my ipad, I can listen to my library remotely anywhere I am. OK, the interface isn't absolutely superb, but I can still access my legally-owned content from anywhere I choose!
I love it. There are lots of people I know who, upon hearing about these lawsuits, said to me "Wait, you can download movies for free?" and now never pay for content... they should have also released a statement saying "Here's a big red button... but definitely don't push it..."
