Read the article, youtube is apologising to the 3rd party who is neither the label nor the infringer but THE FAN who wanted to view the video. It is not justifying anything, it is simply saying "Hey, you wanted this content, we don't have it anymore, sorry."
Yes that is fine, but it does require spending a lot of money on a sky subscription still which is precisely the same situation that everyone in america is complainging about too
As with all these idiotic "Think of the children!" moral panics if less time were spent focusing on the censorship and more time spent on proper parenting skills then this issue would resolve itself fairly quickly.
Competition is good for the consumer, but bad for AT&T. I never assumed for one minute that Mr Stephenson actually cares about consumers beyond whether they are paying his company rather than a competitor.
Re: Re: Re:
"Did it cross your mind [that] the progress was in spite of the IP?"... makes perfect sense.
"What's with "the progress"? These [words] make no sense in the sentence"... makes perfect sense also.
What's your point?

Re: The Lawyers in this case
I'm sure if they're that good, which they're doing a damn good job of showing, then they won't have any trouble finding clients after this.
Re:
It's so stupid, we keep being told how awesome it is to hold the Olympics in London but we're never given any reasons as to why.
Everyone in our media (especially the damn BBC) and Government are all in collective denial about what a waste of time and money it is.

As a citizen of London I would much prefer the Olympics not be held here at all.
Too expensive and with ridiculous stuff like this going on it is all completely pointless and counter to what the Olympics is supposed to stand for.

Indeed, if the term of copyright weren't so absurd then this would be much more beneficial for everyone.

If a terrorist is someone who scares the shit out of people should the government and these lobbyists not be on the most wanted list?

It is clear...

Re: admit it
I was thinking that myself. If they're really so confident in their amazing patent why not sue the entire internet?
