>>Players can always continue to leave any rating they want on the Google Play Store.
This is the way I always write reviews for apps from the Play Store. Those sheep who are spoon fed a review dialog are the ones that are allowing this behavior. A smart person would say, "well, that's BS" and would just go to the play store to leave their honest opinion.
So, EA here is just taking advantage of the fact that some players are either not savvy enough to know about leaving a review on the play store or are just lazy.
>>Still gonna buy TitanFall even if each mech costs $5 and I can only rate 5/5 cos I'm an idiot gamer who willingly allows companies to exploit me.
This comment is just vitriol. Gamers, for the most part, are not idiots; this is one of their past times. Some people have the interest and disposable income to be attracted to this type of business model.
I, for one, am not. In fact, the last EA game I bought in 2/2012 was THE last EA game I will ever buy because of this type of cash-grab mentality that EA exhibits and their general ineptitude (product-launch failures, Launch-server capacity mishandling, etc.) and uncaring nature for their customers. I don't have enough time or funds for that crap so I am voting with my wallet.
It will be interesting to see if they convict based upon the fact that you can't tell who the actual driver is during the run.
Sure you are responsible for parking tickets on your car, but drivers are responsible for their own behavior while in said car, or so I was led to believe. So, if they can't prove who was driving, how do they convict this guy?
My Dad is an ex-biker well acquainted with the H.A.s and I can tell you this: They will demand, NOT ASK, this 'copyright' being rescinded. If they don't get satisfaction, I can assure you extremely BAD THINGS will happen to QMI, its holdings, its owners and their families. They DO NOT f*ck around when it comes to their colors. People have disappeared for far less.
BTW folks, I am a customer of the first and second bundles and received the following email today:
"Six games have been added to your bundle
Dear Humble Indie Bundle customer, I would just like to personally thank you for your support in making the Humble Indie Bundle #2 even more successful than the first one. As thanks, I have added the Humble Indie Bundle #1 into your bundle. If you go to your personal download page, you will find the following games waiting for you:
- World of Goo (now a top seller on the iPad)
- Lugaru HD
- Penumbra Overture
- Samorost 2
Happy holidays! They're (mostly) redeemable on Steam too, if you would like to link them to your account.
If this kind of thing makes you happy, please feel free to add a little more to your Humble Bundle purchase (you can help bring up the average on your download page) and keep spreading the word!
While I already own the first bundle, it seems like a nice gesture and smart business decision that can drum up more buzz and business for the second bundle.
You sir, are moron. I AM tasting bile. The bile that rises due to the hypocrisy of our government and its attempts to stifle the release of information pointing to its own corruption or to punish others for its failure to protect sensitive information. I hate that our government is lying to us to perpetuate a war that we have no business waging.
You may be able to delude yourself and even use Bush's non-choice of 'you are either with us, or you are with the terrorists' BS, but that kind of rhetoric doesn't change the facts. You CAN be against the American government's actions and still be a patriotic American.
I am an American, born and bred; but I am ashamed of our government's actions. I should be proud to be an American like my grandparents were, yet I am ashamed due to the unneeded secrecy, lies, double-dealing, scapegoating, and greed.
I am not a democrat, and certainly not a republican. However, based upon Ron Paul's clear, insightful view of this situation, I'd vote for him as president based upon his questioning of the government's need to place blame on others for its own ineptitude and warmongering.
This tyranny needs to be stopped. To paraphrase the Joker from Batman: "This country needs an enema!". Amen brother, amen.
