30mph speed limit cameras in areas with children and suburban areas is a good idea for saftey.
70mph speed limit has been around for ages and stopping distances of cars has improved vastly on new cars since the introduction of this speed limit. Why should it not be increased?
Actually speed cameras can be used in places just to cause people to slow down. I'm aware of a few speed cameras in the UK that have been put in places that have lots of accidents (This is obviously rare!).
US government reaction to try and charge Assange is just as stupid as going after Bin Laden in the war on terror. Pandora's box has been opened, to fix it they have to change themselves and how they behave towards the rest of the world.
Most of those 9 pictures are the same photo, you can see the way the "window kicker" is holding his arms. The Guardian, and maybe The Express, has a different picture (again based on how the kicker's arm is held), but even then I only noticed by studying it.
I wonder how many of those Newspapers Rupert Murdoch owns...
It's highly unlikely that any of these cases will win. But at least the lawyers won't go hungry, and their kids won't run out of caviar this weekend at the beach house.
Is this the old "it's right because it's the law and it's the law because it's right" argument?
The majority of man kind probably couldn't care less about copyright, it is big business that lobby government that want copyright to stifle competition.

Re: Re:
To clarify "rare" as in purely for the purpose of preventing accidents and not just taxing people who'd rather get to their destination a bit quicker.

Re: Re: Re: The Geffen Effect
LOL never even noticed that! :)
Re: The Geffen Effect
*"what what" -> "what happened"
The Geffen Effect
In the same vein as The Streisand Effect, this sounds similar to what what with David Geffen and Peter Mandelson.
I'm calling this concept The Geffen Effect.

Yeah, totally agree with this.
